Sadly, on December 9 2020, the Lord called Pastor Johnny home to Heaven after a four year battle with cancer through which he served with the same fire and zeal for the Lord. He is survived by his wife Sister Stacey, and their three children: Rhonda, Brandon, and Hunter, who continue to serve the Lord faithfully at Welcome Hill.

Bro. Johnny was saved at the age of 15. He surrendered to preach the gospel May 4, 1999. 

He was called as the pastor of Welcome Hill Baptist Church on March 26, 2000. 

Bro. Johnny was a graduate of Georgia Baptist Seminary (Bachelors of Bible) and Biblical Study Theological Seminary (Masters of Religious Education and Doctorate of Religious Education.)

He also served as a Board Member and Staff of Word Christian Broadcasting.
